Designer Recruitment recently caught up with Chris this week for a brief interview. 🎤

Chris operates as an independent kitchen design consultant, offering specialised assistance to retail clients. His expertise lies in European and handmade furniture, and is recognised as a Compusoft Winner expert. 🙂

Q1: How did you get started in the world of design? 👨‍🎓

My design journey started at school; I designed a skateboard park using first-generation 3D software. I’ve always been fascinated by the way a space can be transformed by design. After studying architectural drawing, I knew this was my true calling.

Q2: How does technology, like design software, enhance your work? 👨‍💻

Technology, especially design software like Compusoft Winner, is a game-changer. It allows me to bring design concepts to life in 3D, making it easier for clients to visualise the end result. It also streamlines the design process, saving time and ensuring precision.

Q3: What do you do outside of kitchen design? 🚵‍♂️

Outside of kitchen design, I’m a passionate mountain biking enthusiast. It’s where I find inspiration, challenge myself, and experience the great outdoors in all its glory.

What is your favourite style? 🤔

“My favourite style has to be an in-frame kitchen. I love the timeless nature and the intricacy involved with each design. I always find that every in-frame kitchen I design is completely personalised for each client as there are so many different accessory and furniture choices available.”

What is your favourite part about designing?

“My favourite part about designing has to be the clients I get to meet! I find so much joy in being part of such an important aspect of their home project and always want to make sure they are reassured and enjoying the process just as much as the finished result. I also love that every day is different and I get to see so many stunning transformations!”

Designer Recruitment is proud to announce our charity partner, BacZac. This fantastic charity supports young adults and their families suffering from cancer.

BacZac his Legacy looks to support young adults in the following ways:

• BacZac His Legacy give “High Street” vouchers to 3 cancer units, these are then distributed to patients as a pick me up. Also at Nottingham we provide meal vouchers for young adults who are classified as in and out during Chemotherapy, which means they can be in receiving treatment for hours, but are not entitled to a free meal.
• BacZac His Legacy gives small grants to families with a young adult suffering with cancer, this can be used for a family day out when possible, or to help with the financial burden the families are having to deal with.
• Lastly BacZac His Legacy’s long term aim is to provide a respite holiday accommodation for families with a young adult suffering from cancer, possibly one last trip away as a family or to aid a bereaved family.
